Another type of aloe/succulent plant.   This one is the favorite food of the elephant.  Spekboom.  It means "bacon tree."  It's edible.  We ate some leaves and they are almost sweet, but with some bitterness.  Doesn't taste like bacon, more like lemon, but doesn't make you pucker.
