Gassing up the truck

So we drive 90 minutes north to another hunting property to hunt Springbok, the national animal of South Africa and the mascot of the national rugby team.

As we drove, the terrain began to gradually change. It began to get more flat, and had much less vegetation. We started to come upon working cattle, sheep, and goat ranches. The grass change from the green bermuda grass to taller, thicker 'buffalo grass,' planted to withstand the arid summers and feed livestock. The grass is very similar to the grass we have seen in Mexican cattle ranches, however, the soil here is very different, and they get much more rain here than in the Sonoran desert.
